LWTech offers free and confidential mental health counseling services to all students. To request counseling services, please read the information below, complete the fields below, and submit this form.

Short-term Counseling Services

Students are eligible for short-term counseling services.
Short-term is generally defined as less than 6 sessions. The number of sessions will be determined by the Counselor based on the student's need.
The Counseling Department will make referrals to long-term support as needed.

Appointment Times and Session Length

Appointments are available Monday - Thursday
Appointments available virtually or in-person.
- In-person appointments are available:
  - Tuesdays
  - Wednesdays
- Appointments are scheduled for45 minutes
- Appointments are FREE for all currently enrolled LWTech students.
- In general, appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis by date the student submitted the Counseling Request Form.
- Same day appointments are generally unavailable.

Waitlist

Because there is only 1 full-time mental health counselor, there may be a waitlist for counseling appointments.

After-Hours & Emergency Contacts

LWTech does not offer after-hours or crisis services.
If this is a health emergency please call 911 or if you are able, go to your nearest Emergency Department.
If you are in crisis please call 988 or Crisis Connections at (866) 427-4747.
If you would like peer support, please call the Washington WARM Line at (877) 500-9276, Monday - Sunday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Upon receipt of your request, you will receive an email back within 2 business days during instructional days. There are no counseling services available during non-instructional days, including breaks between quarters.

Please note:

All new clients are required to review and complete initial documents prior to their first Counseling session. This information will be sent to you via email through SimplePractice, our HIPAA compliant scheduling and video platform. Additionally, all online video appointments are done through this platform. Once you sign up for counseling, you will be provided with a link for your virtual appointment.
